Design and Construction
This Design and Construction consists of the Design Team and Construction Team. The Design Team provides design-engineering services for the annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for streets, traffic signals, waterlines and facilities, sewerlines and facilities, park sites and other various building facility improvements. The Design portion of the program provides for both in-house designs as well as the contracting for design services with consulting engineers and architects. The Construction Team provides the administration and inspection of the City's construction contracts. It also provides inspection services for development projects constructing facilities with City right-of-way.

Capital Improvement Program
This Capital Improvement Program Division consists of the Design Team and Construction Team. Environmental (NPDES)
Storm Water Compliance
The Stormwater Compliance Program provides for development and implementation of a Stormwater Management Program in conjunction with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) under the Federal Clean Water Act. The Stormwater Management Program includes monitoring of stormwater runoff for pollutants, conducting a public awareness/education program for residents and for businesses and municipal employees, inspection for illicit discharges and connections, enforcement procedures, coordinating the City's NPDES permit compliance activities with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, review environmental documents in the planning and development review process, and annual reporting to the State Water Quality Control Board.
