Downtown Pomona is enjoying a renaissance as an
active mixed-use center with an emphasis on
pedestrian
and transit-oriented development.



Revitalization of the Holt Corridor will focus on
reuse of languishing commercial properties with
viable, active and attractive mixed-uses,
including significant amounts of new residential
development.

2    FAIRPLEX

6    NORTH GAREY CORRIDOR

Fairplex, home of the LA. County Fair, is a multi-use facility occupying 543 acres in northwest Pomona. Potential development would be complementary to existing Fairplex businesses, build a solid foundation
for economic growth and job creation and enhance
the communities Fairplex serves.
A major north-south arterial of the City, future
development along the North Garey Corridor will
reinforce historic districts, medical districts and
the northern commuter rail station.


3    MISSION & 71

7    SOUTH GAREY CORRIDOR

Along a large industrial corridor, adjacent to SR 71,
and south of the Union Pacific rail corridor, this site
was home to the former General Dynamics Facility.
A large portion of this site is currently underutilized
with significant potential for reuse.

Vacated and marginal neighborhood commercial
centers provide for diverse reuse development
opportunities along the South Garey Corridor.
An abundance of rooftops along with high density
make this area a prime location for large commercial
retail projects.

4    FOOTHILL CORRIDOR

 
Commercial development will be focused at the intersections of this major arterial from Garey to
Towne Avenues.
